Maternity Ward.

This is an extension of an existing hospital in the outskirt of Mogadishu . The building consist in a maternity ward that include 3 rooms which are full equipped . The idea behind this building was to provide a serene place for the women and their new born and to design a space that was both, traditional and modern. Natural light , ventilation and privacy is provided through the use of a porch that function as a waiting area as much as a space for doctors, and families to wait during the delivery process. A simple clean building with straight lines ready to welcome the newborns.
